Mural Villa and Hut Manly, Sydney

Angie Pollack who works at Villa & Hut is also an inspiring artist.  She was given the brief to create a mural at Villa & Hut Manly Wharf, Sydney that would encapsulates the essence of Villa & Hut but also reflects it’s location at one of the most scenic places in the world Manly, Sydney.

So in her own words…………

“This was easy as Manly has a beautiful harbor beach, I imagined a traditional south east asian fishing boat arriving with the vibrant and beautifully handcrafted merchandise. Which was fascinating  to try and replicate in the mural, and  took me on a journey through time and cultures- from indian blockprinting to old chinise painted furniture. Through my art I was able to set off on a rich creative adventure exploring different cultures and my own backyard.”
A big thank you to the customers, and your lovely comments. in particular the couple on holiday from India, who sat and watched me paint for about an hour , which made me chuckle, but opened my mind to how art is appreciated in different cultures”
